Our Sustainable Mission: 

1. We are proud to partner with Terracycle to recycle our difficult to recycle waste (plastic tubes, etc.) and we also help our customers recycle our plastic pumps, droppers and empty lip oil tubes.  For more information, check here for when our program is available very soon: https://shop.terracycle.com/en-US/products/bellavidasb  
2. We partner with manufacturers and suppliers in the USA for our ingredients who are Cruelty-Free, committed to sustainability and are taking action against Climate Change in various ways, such as running on Solar Energy, Planting Trees, Using FSC papers and Recycled Fibers in their items.  One of our suppliers is a member of 1% for the planet.
3. We use Mass Balance certified emulsifiers which contain sustainable palm oil derived components.  When available we use Fair Trade Shea Butter, although this is at times difficult to find.
4. We ship carbon neutral with Shopify.  We have also planted over 130 trees in Africa with Eden Projects to reduce carbon.
   
5. We use 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Paperboard printed with water-based inks for our Shipping boxes and recyclable branded stickers.
6. We use biodegradable and recycled paper shreds for packing along with recycled tissue paper.
7. We offer glass, recyclable PET Plastic (which is the easiest plastic to recycle) in our most of our packaging.
8. Our Formulas are all Vegan and always cruelty-free to not harm animals. We do not ship to Mainland China until their laws are more clear on animal testing. 
9. We strive to ship plastic free.  If you find plastic bubble wrap, it is usually materials we are reusing to keep glass safer during shipping.
10. We use biodegradable starch packing peanuts (upcycled from our suppliers) and kraft paper shreds for our packages. We also often upcycle packaging fill that other companies send to us to keep it out of the waste stream.
    
11. We are always looking for more innovations in packaging to stay true our mission to use Recycled and Plastic free options. 
12. Our Skincare Formulas are made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients from our USA suppliers. Our packaging components currently come from China, although we are always looking for packaging made in the USA when available.  We are partnering with fill houses in the UK, Canada and EU to fill our skincare products for those customers to reduce our carbon footprint and help those customers to have lower tax rates.

Our Human Rights commitment:  We believe that all humans deserve to be treated equally without discrimination or prejudice.  This is a safe place for all people, no matter their identity, race, religion or nationality.

1. We donate 1% of Profits to nonprofits that help with social good, like Feeding America, Special Needs Network, BARE Truth organization, and ocean protection, like Oceana, each year to protect oceans and ocean life.
2. We never discriminate with who we hire or work with as influencers.  We often hire within the LGBTQ+ community, disabled community and our business is certified disability-owned, Woman owned and operated.
3. When possible, we buy our ingredients and components from other woman-owned enterprises and Fair Trade, ethical and sustainable companies.
