Our Clean Beauty Standards

We believe in transparency, honesty and educating our customers about what's in our formulas (and what is not!).  We don't want to scare customers- we want to give you the knowledge so you can make informed decisions about what you buy and put on your skin.

Note: this is not an exhaustive list. We always try to avoid any ingredients found in research to be toxic or potentially dangerous to the human body or environment.

Ingredients we have reduced or eliminated to be more natural for consumers:

Phenoxyethanol preservative

Retinyl palmitate (retinol)- Use during the day as many increase sun sensitivity, which we want to avoid for our customers. Some research has suggested an increase in potential cancer causing cells with use of retinol during the day.

Japanese Honeysuckle which can be a potential endocrine disruptor, similar to parabens

Emulsifying Wax- which often comes from petroleum and is not biodegradable.

Artificial fragrances and dyes- often contain carcinogens

To research why these ingredients are not considered clean, you can learn more by viewing the Credo Beauty Dirty List or Whole Foods clean standards.

As more research is done into the effect of certain ingredients used in the cosmetics, we have made sure to keep in step with current standards across UK and EU, which have far stricter standards then the US.
