Humble Beginnings:

Founded in 2019 by Erin Schmidt, Bella Vida emerged from humble beginnings in a Santa Barbara bungalow kitchen. Erin’s journey began with a personal struggle: years of cystic acne and the unique challenges of her sensitive, fair skin as a natural redhead. Now she is battling precancer spots on her skin that are regularly monitored by her dermatologist.

With a daughter on the Autism spectrum and after losing her mother to cancer, Erin was driven to seek cleaner, safer products for her family and herself. Her experience with traditional skincare treatments left her longing for alternatives that were gentle on the skin, the body, and the planet.

Bella Vida Luxury beauty reflects Erin’s dedication to creating an elegant, botanical-based skincare line that marries efficacy with ethical integrity. We formulate, manufacture in small batches and package our products by hand right here in California. We prioritize formulas that are predominantly vegan and certified clean by Think Dirty and the Good Face Project, maintaining high standards for natural ingredients and a minimal environmental footprint.

We are excited to partner with Terracycle very soon to recycle our plastic pumps, droppers and empty lip oil tubes.

We are FDA registered and follow strict cGMP guidelines when making, packaging, storing and shipping our products.

Our Skincare is made entirely in the USA with globally sourced ingredients from our Sustainable, Clean and Cruelty-Free certified USA suppliers. Our packaging components currently come from China, although we are always looking for packaging made in the USA when available.
